FIR filed after Jaipur tourists allegedly assault Goa police in Calangute

PANAJI: Goa Police have registered an FIR against two tourists from Jaipur for allegedly attacking officers and causing a disturbance at a hotel in Calangute last night.

According to the resort management, the men, reportedly intoxicated, began disturbing other guests and abusing staff. When asked to leave, they allegedly threatened that their friends were linked to the Bishnoi gang.

Police arrived following the complaint and took the two into custody. While being transported to the station, they allegedly attacked officers inside the vehicle, boasting that no one could take action against them.

Both accused are now in Calangute PS custody, and an FIR for assault on a public servant has been registered, police said.
