French national found dead in Majorda, no foul play suspected

A 70-year-old French national, Patrick Repe Jean Marie Saint Priest, was declared dead on arrival at the South Goa District Hospital on Tuesday. According to Colva Police, the French national, who was residing in Majorda, was brought to the hospital after being found unconscious.

Police investigations revealed that on December 31, 2024, the deceased had been resting in his bedroom due to tiredness. He was discovered lying unconscious and fallen on his right side beside the bed. Despite efforts, the individual was unresponsive and was subsequently taken to the hospital.

The police confirmed that no foul play was suspected in the incident. The body has been preserved at the District Hospital Morgue in Margao for medico-legal procedures and the French Embassy has been notified.
