The Goan Welfare Association (GWA), Qatar, in collaboration with Orbit Events and Marketing, is set to mark its Silver Jubilee with the grand 25th Annual May Queen Ball on May 9 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Doha, from 7 pm onwards.

This milestone event celebrates 25 years of GWA’s service to the Goan community in Qatar and its commitment to promoting Goan culture abroad. The highlight of the evening will be the crowning of the 25th May Queen, promising a night of glamour, entertainment, and celebration.

Led for 25 years by founder Simon D’Silva, GWA has partnered with charities like CRY and CARITAS, while also supporting causes back in Goa. Known for its well-organised events, the May Queen Ball has become a premier annual gathering for Goans in Qatar.

Entertainment will feature international Goan sensation Mark Revlon, who recently performed in Kuwait and has captivated audiences worldwide. Also taking the stage is Goa’s popular band Raagas2Riches, known for their energetic performances across genres from Bollywood to rock.

Adding to the excitement, DJ Queency, a rising talent with training from London Sound Academy, will keep the dance floor lively. Goa’s ace compere Updesh Swar will host the evening.

The event, open to all nationalities aged 17 to 40, is expected to draw a full-house audience including Indian dignitaries and local VIPs. The May Queen contest will be held in style. For details, call +974-55550491.
