Tiatr Academy of Goa organised Konkani “Kantaramchem Daiz” a competition of Duets, Duos, Trios, Quartets/Quintets and Choral songs on October 30 at the Multipurpose hall of Directorate of Art & Culture, Patto-Panaji.The following are the winners of the competition:
In the below 16 years category, first place for Best Duet Award went to Nevan A Fernandes and Nyssa G Fernandes (Ek Kul’li Panch Burantte) while Ainsley Carvalho and Vanaisha E Vas (Mintu Chintu) came second.
First place for Best Duo Award was given to Crizal Mascarenhas and Christa Mascarenhas (Mhozo Dhondo) while Naira L Fernandes and Nyssa G Fernandes finished second.
First place Best Quartet Award was handed to Jenifer Fernandes, Jane Colaco, Christa Mascarenhas and Crizal Mascarenhas (Amchi Vhoddvik). Best Choral Award was given to Jenifer Fernandes, Jane Colaco, Christa Mascarenhas and Crizal Mascarenhas. First place for Best Lyrics Award went to Fr Milagres Dias (Xikop) while Pio Esteves (Bhoinnicho Mog) emerged second.
In the above 16 years category, first place for Best Duet Award went to Cloy Anthony Da Cunha and Dinora K Barreto (Kudd’ddi Bhoinn) while Ramson Cardozo and Asifa D’Silva (Ghov Sudhorlo) clinched second. First place for Best Duo Award was handed to Malcom Pereira and Aloyd Pereira (Maim Paichem Rinn) while Snezal Rodrigues and Nancy Vaz (Bhurgeank Bhik Dinakat) claimed second place.
First place for Best Quartet Awarded was given to Remson Cardozo, Asifa D’Souza, Candida Mascarenhas and Aston Soares (Samball Kortelim) while Snezal Rodrigues, Belisia Do Rosario, Sylsan Fernandes and Velvin Palha (Borem Kelear Borem Mevta) finished second.
First place for Best Choral Award went to Franzy M Furtado, Aaron Dias, Twinkle D’Souza and Lezio Rebello (Vell to Vell) while Delju Simoes, Christina Correia, Snezal Rodrigues, Velvin Palha and Wellysler Mendes (Ek Ghoddi) claimed second spot.
First place for Best Lyrics Award was handed to Fr Milagres Dias (Vell to Vell) while Aston Soares (Sambhall Kortelim) finished second.
In the junior category, the Boyer-Remmie Best Duo Award was given to Crizal Mascarenhas and Christa Mascarenhas (Dhondo). C Alvares Best Duet Award went to Nevan Fernandes and Nyssa Fernandes (Ek Kulli Panch Burantte).
The Roam Tony Ani Sangati Best Quartet/Quintet Award was given to Jenifer Fernandes, Jane Colaco, Christa Mascarenhas and Crizal Mascarenhas (Amchi Vhoddvik).
Aristides & Lucien Best Choral Award went to Jenifer Fernandes, Jane Colaco, Christa Mascarenhas and Crizal Mascarenhas (Amchi Goenche Vavraddi).
In the senior category, the Boyer-Remmie Best Duo Award was given to Aloyd Pereira and Malcolm Pereira (Maim Paichem Rinn). C Alvares Best Duet Award went to Cloy Anthony Da Cunha and Dinora K Barreto (Kudd’ddi Bhoinn).
Meanwhile, The Roam Tony Ani Sangati Best Quartet/Quintet Award was handed to Remson Cardozo, Asifa D’Souza, Candida Mascarenhas and Aston Soares (Samball Kortelim).

The competition was judged by well-known personalities Fr Rolland Lynn Fernandes, Joe Rose and Dorathy Mascarenhas.
The prize distribution function will be held on November 16 at the same venue along with the celebration of the Birth Anniversary of Late Regina Fernandes, the first woman on the Tiatr stage. All the prize winners are requested to be present in person to collect their prizes.
