Superintendent of Police South Tikam Singh has placed under suspension three police constables attached to the Colva police station.
The SP South has also shifted the Colva police station in charge PI Ritesh Tari to the district office. Maina Curtorim police station Incharge PI Arun Desai has been given additional charge of Colva police station until further orders.
The district police chief has informed that the the police constables has been placed under suspension in connection with their association with a scrap yard owner.
He said that a preliminary inquiry has revealed that the three suspended constables were allegedly involved with the scrap dealer.
He said the police would also order a detailed inquiry into the incident.
