The Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party's internal disputes have come to the fore now. The MGP leader Lavoo Mamledar who was expelled from the party has criticised MGP party president Deepak Dhavlikar alleging that Dhavlikar is planning to remove members of the MGP party who have filed a no-confidence motion against him.
Lavoo fears that the members who have filed no-confidence motion will be removed from the party unconstitutionally without serving any notice.
Lavoo has alleged that these members have also been threatened with dire consequences. Lavoo has written to ECI seeking its intervention.
It may be recalled that recently a no-confidence motion has been filed against the party president Deepak Dhavlikar who is holding the position for more than five years.
However, Dhavlikar has called the motion bogus and has claimed that his position is strong.
On the other hand, Lavoo also says that he is technically general secretary of MGP as he was thrown out without being given any notice or documentation.
