Mapusa Council workers accused of damaging toy car at Milagres Fair

MAPUSA: A vendor has filed a police complaint accusing staff of Mapusa Municipal Council (MMC) of damaging her toy car during the Milagres fair. In her complaint, Jamuna Sarkar Patil of Karaswada-Mapusa stated that his toy car had been given to children to drive around at the fair and at other local festivals. On Friday at around 4 pm, the toy car was being used at the Milagres fair when MMC workers confronted the vendor about using the toy car without a proper license from the municipal council. Patil accused the workers of damaging her toy car and has demanded legal action against the municipal workers concerned.

PERNEM: Two foreigners were arrested while a third was detained by Mandrem police on Saturday on charges of staying without a valid visa. According to police reports, two Russian nationals Roman Loskutov (35) and Valentina Bokhan (33), presently staying at Khalchawada-Arambol, were found staying illegally without valid travel documents (visa).
