The Supreme Court of India has allowed Goa, Karnataka and Maharashtra to produce additional documents in connection with the Mhadei dispute and has granted the three warring States eight weeks to produce the documents.
Goa’s Advocate General Devidas Pangam said that Karnataka sought permission from the Court “to produce more documents which were there before the Tribunal.”
Goa too had filed two interim interlocutory applications -- for production of additional documents which were not produced before the tribunal and an application to argue additional grounds that were not argued before the Tribunal which has been granted by the SC.
“The documents are ordered to be produced on record. We also wanted to take additional grounds regarding total yield etc. That amendment is allowed by the SC and we will be now carrying out the amendment (to the application),” Pangam said.
