Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar said the Mormugao Port Authority (MPA) has assured to take up the request for a permanent fishing jetty once they get CRZ approvals.
"I have spoken to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and explained to him that though we have spent around Rs 31 lakh for the repair of the dilapidated fishing jetty at Kharewado, a huge crack has developed on the surface, endangering the lives of people,” said Salkar.
“The MPA has assured to take up the demand once they receive CRZ approvals and we will take up a joint meeting on Tuesday to resolve the major issue of Fishing Jetty at Kharewaddo " said Salkar.
