Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said the constable with whose connivance Sulaiman Siddique, an accused in multiple land fraud cases, escaped from the custody of Goa Police’s Crime Branch has been dismissed from service and such nexus with criminals will not be tolerated.
“Detailed investigations is in progress in this case and he (Siddique) will soon be re-arrested,” Sawant said when asked to react to criticism of his government’s ‘incompetence’ citing the case.
He however refrained from commenting on criticism directed against him by the Opposition.
