Nine more Covid-19 deaths reported, toll mounts to 428; 641 new cases detected

Nine more people lost their lives to Covid-19 in Goa taking the death toll in the state to 428.

Of the nine deaths, four were recorded at Goa Medical College and Hospital in Bambolim, four at ESI Covid Hospital while one patient expired in a private hospital in North Goa.

The deceased persons include a 58-year-old man from Margao, a 77-year-old woman from Salcete, a 58-year-old man from Ponda, a 45-year-old man from Margao, a 75-year-old man from Chorao, a 64-year-old woman from Aldona, a 53-year-old man from Santa Cruz, a 70-year-old woman from Sanguem and a 79-year-old woman from Pernem.

Meanwhile, a total of 641 new cases were detected in Goa in the last 24 hours taking the total cases up to 33,418. Of these, 28,125 have recovered and 4,865 are presently active cases.
