A 32-year old Atish Mehta -- one among the five survivors of the deadly nightclub fire- undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) -- was discharged on Monday.
Secretary Health Yatindra Maralkar told The Goan that four patients, admitted in GMC’s Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit, are responding positively to the treatment.
Maralkar said that Mehta, who had sustained 12 per cent burn injuries, was discharged on Monday.
The other three- Amit Kumar, Clinton Prasad and Rahul Rai had sustained 12-15 per cent injuries. A 20 year old Tanishqa Chaurasian sustained a maximum 29 per cent burn.
Maralkar informed that the doctors are closely monitoring all the patients.
He further informed that the post-mortem examination of six bodies is pending and will be conducted as soon as the relatives come and complete the identification process.
