People know the politicians behind anti-socials: Luizinho

MARGAO
Condemning the brutal attack on the resident of Telaulim in the strongest terms, Navelim Congress MLA Luizinho Faleiro has said that people know the politicians who have been responsible for patronizing the illegalities and the vote bank at Fakirbandh in neighbouring Margao.

Faleiro told The Goanon Sunday that Navelim constituency comprises of five constituencies, but the people have never allowed any vote bank politics and illegalities in the constituency.

“People know who has been representing Fakirbandh in the past. People know the people who have made Fakirband their vote bank. People know who have allowed the illegalities at Fakirbandh. People know that the sewage from Fakirbandh flows into Navleim”, Faleiro said.

The Navelim was apparently referring to the elected representatives represented the constituency and the Fakirbandh ward.

“Navelim is a constituency which is the home for descent people. We have not allowed anyone to indulge in goondagiri. During my stint as MLAs and even during the period when there were two other MLAs representing Navelim, we have never encouraged goondagiri and anti-social elements in the constituency”, he added.

Faleiro said he was in Dialgona-Telaulim on Friday evening to inaugurate a power transformer when he later informed by local Congress leader Zacarias that the son of  a former Panchayat clerk has met with an accident. “It was only after I called up the Hospicio doctors that I was told that it was not an accident, but an assault on the victim”, he said, while demanding stern action against the accused persons.
