Petition to be filed in HC against fish meal plants in Cuncolim

Retired Justice Ferdino Rebello has on Thursday said that a petition will soon be filed in the High Court against the fish meal plants operating in Cuncolim.

When the media drew attention of Justice Rebello that people of his home village Cuncolim have been fighting against industrial pollution, he pointed out that he had shut down two industries at the Cuncolim IDC during his stint as a High Court Judge. As far as the fish meal plant is concerned, Justice Rebello said the issue was discussed threadbare and a lawyer from Cuncolim Adv Tarun Rebello will soon file a petition in the High Court.
