Police nab kidnapper in Karnataka, rescue minor girl

The Fatorda have arrested the person who was allegedly involved in the kidnapping of a minor girl from the lawful custody of her parents.

Immediately after registration of FIR under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Section 8 of the Goa Children’s Act, the Fatorda police led by PI Nathan Almeida initiated a swift and coordinated investigation. 

CCTV footage was verified with the assistance of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Konkan Railway authorities, which confirmed the movement of the victim along with the accused. Technical analysis of CDR/SDR was carried out with the assistance of the CMC Team, South.

Based on the leads developed, a police team comprising PSI Sukhada Prabhudessai, L.I.B. Nilesh Kaskar, PC Vinayak Naik, PC Shunam Lohar, and LPC Devyani Gaonkar was deputed to Raichur, Karnataka. The team successfully traced and rescued the 17-year-old minor victim, and arrested the accused.

The accused has been identified as Narasappa Madar  aged 20 years, resident of Aquem and a native of Muddebihal, Kuntoji, Bijapur District, Karnataka.
