The Siolim-Marna panchayat has issued notices to 20 commercial establishments along the roadside and also conducted inspections of these structures.
Confirming the development, Sarpanch Sandesh Hadfadkar stated that the notices were served two days ago as part of the ongoing crackdown on illegal constructions.
“We issued notices and conducted an inspection of 20 shops near the Siolim-Marna church. The report will be sent to the Block Development Officer (BDO), and further action will be initiated based on the directions of the Deputy Collector,” Hadfadkar stated.
He further reiterated that the panchayat remains committed to identifying and addressing unauthorised structures as per the court’s mandate.
