Adpai-Ponda artist Sagar Mule, who shot to fame after Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded him for preserving the age-old Kavi art during one of his recent Mann Ki Baat programmes, has show-cased unique land art to celebrate the 75th Independence Day.At the site, CII Yi Goa celebrated Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav where around 75 students of Sharada High School, teachers, local panchas and other villagers also participated.
BJP spokesperson, Advocate Yatish Naik was the chief guest.
The participants gathered around the Land Art and recited the National Anthem.
Venkatesh Chanekar, Headmaster of Primary School, lauded Sagar for bringing fame to the village with his unique art.
Traditional agriculture tools were used to remove grass and create the unique land art in an open area around his home, Mule said.
The piece of land is owned by Union Minister Shripad Naik.
Mule has revived the age-old Kavi art, once predominantly used to paint walls of temples and is threatened to extinction.
