The government is working on formulating a 'Slum Rehabilitation Policy' and a survey to identify the ghettos is currently in progress.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said the proposed policy to rehabilitate the slums will involve construction of houses on a Public-Private Partnership basis.
Beneficiaries under this policy will not be eligible to claim benefits of the recently enacted laws to regularise illegal houses and encroachments on government and comunidade land, he said.
