A young scooter rider Faraj Naik died on the spot after his scooter collided with a bus parked by the side of the road, near Majestic hotel at Porvorim.
Porvorim Police mentioned that Faraj Naik aged 19 was proceeding towards his residence at Socorro-Porvorim on his two-wheeler.
On reaching near Majestic hotel, he lost control of his bike and he crashed his vehicle into a bus parked by the side of the road, early in the morning at around 5 am on Sunday.
Upon receipt of the information, Porvorim police rushed to the spot and shifted his body to Goa Medical College Hospital at Bambolim for treatment.
However he was declared dead on arrival by the doctors on duty.
Investigating Officer Police sub Inspector Prakash Chodankar stated the body of the deceased will be handed over to his relatives for the final rites after postmortem.
