Trinamool Congress, which has recently announced its entry in Goa’s electoral politics arena, on Sunday said the party will release a chargesheet against past governments of the State at the Azad Maidan on Monday morning.
TMC Lok Sabha members -- Saugatha Roy and Mahua Moitra -- and former union minister Babul Supriyo will be present at the event where the chargesheet will be released.
The political party led by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had announced its foray in Goa and scalped top Congress leader and former chief minister Luizinho Faleiro who quit as MLA three weeks ago.
Another sitting MLA, Independent Prasad Gaonkar has also publicly announced support to the TMC which is said to be in talks with Goa Forward Party (GFP), for a possible merger.
Banerjee is expected to come to Goa on a two-day visit on October 28, a schedule she herself tweeted in a bid to set a narrative that the party is serious and has set its eyes at forming a government through its Goa electoral foray.
“Together, we will usher in a new dawn for Goa by forming a new government that will truly be a government of the people of Goa and committed to realising their aspirations! #GoenchiNaviSakal,” Banerjee had said in her tweet.
