State convenor of Aam Aadmi Party Rahul Mhambre was quick to slam the government for indulging in tokenism while tackling the Tar River issue on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi.
“On eve of Chavth as in every year @goacm and Mapusa MLA Joshua do their usual routine affair. Token statements of desilting Tar River that they are responsible for turning into a sewer,” said Mhambre in a tweet.
He also said that BJP had turned Mapusa into a miserable place and that it was time to bring a change in Mapusa.
“MLAs of @BJP4Goa have made a misery of Mapusa town for the last many years. Time for change for the betterment of Mapusa and Mhapsekars,” he said further in the tweet.
