Authorities have booked a domestic tourist for driving a four-wheeler recklessly on the sea shore of Baga beach, highlighting the growing problem of tourists flouting local laws with impunity.
According to police, the incident occurred on October 18, before noon, near the lifeguard tower opposite Xavier Shack.
The tourist, while driving in a rash and negligent manner, put lives at risk on one of Goa’s busiest beaches, prompting immediate action from the Tourist Police Unit.
Officials said that such acts of carelessness not only endanger beachgoers but also disrupt the serene coastal environment. This is not an isolated incident.
Reports suggest that domestic tourists have increasingly been disregarding traffic and safety regulations, from driving vehicles on beaches to violating speed limits and ignoring safety advisories.
