The cabin of a truck was completely gutted in a fire at Shantinagar-Vasco early Friday morning.
The incident occurred shortly after the truck owner had parked the vehicle in the area at about 5.30 am. The owner reported seeing smoke, which soon intensified into flames.
The Vasco fire station responded to the scene and managed to extinguish the blaze before it could spread further.
However, significant damage was already done, with the truck's cabin being destroyed. Preliminary investigations suggest that a short circuit may have been the cause of the fire. Authorities are conducting further investigations to confirm the cause of the fire.
