PANAJI: Two women have been booked by the Vasco police after their pet dog allegedly attacked a local resident at Mangor Hill last week.
The complaint, filed by Laxmi Pillai, a resident of Mangor Hill, states that the dog, owned by Gudiya Singh and Asmita Singh, residents of Vasco, was negligently unleashed and bit her, resulting in severe injuries. Pillai also alleged that the duo verbally abused her and threatened to bring more dogs into the area.
Police have registered an offence under sections 291 and 352 read with section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
