Speaker Rajesh Patnekar said 77 starred questions, 221 unstarred questions and three bills would be introduced in the two-day assembly session which begins on October 18.
He also said this would probably be the last session of the present legislative assembly.
“Since the last five years of the BJP government, I have served as speaker for about two-and-half years and I am satisfied with my performance,” he added.
However, Opposition Leader Digamber Kamat denounced the two-day assembly session.
"It is a namesake session. There is nothing in the Business Advisory Committee agenda," said Kamat.
“The government claims to have brought in three bills. They are not bringing the fiscal responsibility bill and supplementary demands. There is no private member’s bill this time,” he added.
Benaulim’s NCP MLA Churchill Alemao said no member in BAC had demanded an extension of the session.
"No one sought a day's extension. Why should we ask? I have no problem,” said Churchill.
“I want the bill pertaining to cruelty towards animals to be amended to legalise Dhirio. Where is there cruelty in Dhirios? Elsewhere, Jalikattu is held anyway,” said Churchill.
Deputy Speaker Isidore Fernandes said a two-day assembly session was enough and there was no need of additional days.
“Now, we will have to answer the people directly during elections,” he said.
