Hundreds of families were affected after an underground gas pipeline got ruptured while workers were laying underground cables at Mestwada-Curti on Wednesday.
It is the second such incident in the past two days after another gas pipeline got ruptured while laying underground cables in Ponda.
The gas supply was immediately stopped after the pipeline got ruptured. The Ponda Fire Services rushed to the spot and took control of the situation. The repair work was completed late in the evening.
As the gas supply was stopped, hundreds of families were impacted and they could not cook in the afternoon.
On Monday morning, a gas pipeline got ruptured during the underground cabling work in front of the Ponda Court.
