Zeferino Fernandes livened up the 26th day of the fast satyagraha with his music even as Goa Environment and Ecology Team (GEET) extended support to the agitation on Sunday.Armed with a guitar, Fernandes, who himself is a member of GEET, sang a variety of songs throughout the day and also encouraged other participants to sing as he sought to motivate the satyagrahis through inspirational songs sung in English, Konkani and Hindi.
As Sunday was an open day, people from several parts of the State participated in the fast satyagraha and among them were members of the Goa Muslim Forum.
At the end of the day, the participants sang the national anthem to commemorate Goa’s Liberation Day.
