The Women Police are awaiting a response from Goa University (GU) regarding requested documentation in connection with the sexual harassment case. The victim student's statement was recorded before a magistrate under Section 164 of the CrPC.
Sources said the investigation team sent a letter to GU seeking crucial documentation that could help identify witnesses. However, the university has not yet responded to the letter as yet.
The accused teacher's statement was also recorded after he was summoned through a notice issued under section 41 of the CrPC. Sources said that he might be summoned again if necessary.
