A total of 35 Bangladeshi nationals residing illegally in Goa have been deported since 2025, with the latest batch of six sent back on Wednesday.

Information shared by the Goa police reveals that the six Bangladeshi nationals, found staying without valid travel and immigration documents, were deported in a coordinated operation by the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), Goa, and the Border Security Force (BSF).

“The deportation was carried out as per prescribed procedures. An escort team from FRRO Goa handed over the deportees to the BSF, which facilitated their repatriation to Bangladesh,” the police said.

“Since 2025, the FRRO Goa has tracked, traced and facilitated the deportation of 35 Bangladeshi nationals, including nine men, seven women and 19 minors.”

Goa police reiterated that action against illegal entry and unlawful stay is being pursued in coordination with FRRO and other agencies. The public has been urged to verify the documents of tenants and workers and report suspicious cases to the nearest police station or the Foreigners Branch.
