In a major move, the State government has made one year work experience mandatory for all Group ‘C’ posts across multiple departments.
The Department of Personnel has issued a notification amending the Recruitment Rules for Group ‘C’ posts across all departments, wherein candidates need to have one year work experience either in government, semi-government or private sector, for applying.
The change applies to positions such as MTS, LDC/Recovery Clerk, Junior Stenographer, Stenographer Grade-II, Junior Assistant, Senior Assistant, Bailiff, Court Master, Attendant, Field Assistant, Data Entry Operator, Assistant DEO, Talathi, Panchayat Secretary, Accounts Clerk, Accountant, Junior Auditor, Investigator, Library Attendant, Field Worker, Ahya, Maid Servant, Waiter, Milkman, and Mess Servant, among others.
Under the revised rules, wherever the earlier requirement mentioned less than one year of experience or did not specify any experience, it will now be replaced with a mandatory minimum of one-year work experience, defined as at least 11 months or 335 days.
The applicant with experience in any educational institutions or law institute, chartered accountants office or banking, will also be eligible on providing the required documents proving its work experience.
