Amidst the charged atmosphere of political campaigning in North Goa, Congress candidate Ramakant Khalap launched scathing criticism against the economic policies of the BJP government, decrying what he perceives as a worrisome accumulation of debt both at the State and national levels.

Speaking during a campaign event in Mala, Panaji, Khalap painted a bleak picture of Goa’s financial health, asserting that the state is burdened with a staggering debt of Rs 35,000 crores.

He extended this concern to the national arena, lamenting what he described as a deteriorating economic trajectory over the past decade.
