CANACONA: Canacona police arrested a UP native on charges of possessing 28.9 gms of MDMA worth Rs 5.78 lakh at the Chaudi cemetery in Canacona on Tuesday evening.
According to Canacona police, a team led by PSI Babu Desai conducted a narcotics raid at the cemetery behind the Canacona KTC Bus Stand and seized the MDMA from the possession of the accused, Mohd Farman (30), a native of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
The accused is a labourer living in the Colomb area of Canacona municipality, police added.
