The Colva police have registered a case of rape against a 26-year-old youth for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a 26-year-old woman on the pretext of marriage.
Colva Police Station in-charge PI Vikram Naik informed that the 26-year-old woman complained that the accused, Subhash Lamani, a resident of Colva, developed a friendly relationship with her from November 2025 to March 22, 2026.
She further stated that the accused, on the pretext of marriage, on different occasions had sexual intercourse with her and, when she requested the accused person for marriage, the accused person refused to marry her, thereby committing the offence of rape on the promise of marriage.
