The Caritas of Goa has been doing excellent work in promoting self-help groups for women in many parishes around Goa. My humble request is to look into issue of physically-challenged children once they finish their schooling or after acquiring some special skills who are not able to find a space to start their own business. Sometimes parents cannot afford to start any business for them . So finishing school does not give any opportunity for them to start self-employment. Here the churches can play a very significant role by building a community venture to help start a small production business by employing the disabled children from their locality. The goods produced should be supported by the community when they purchase these items. A business in printing items is the best option for such PwDs. Let's give these children the confidence to live and have the satisfaction of being self employed. Hoping the parish priests and Caritas and the newly ordained Auxiliary Bishop will initiate something in this regard.
