Country on course to be transformed for the worse

One year into the third term of the Modi government and we see an undeniable sense of despondency in the country. Directionless, PR driven, hate heavy discourse with hardly anything to show beyond survival is the hallmark of this sarkar. If you believe India has been dramatically transformed in eleven years, the one who needs transformation is you.The problem is that the benchmark for us Indians is very low. What are basic rights for citizens is packaged and marketed as a big gift / blessing from Vishwaguru. Democratic institutions are undermined, handicapped, strained or made redundant but the media is busy licking the  feet of 'jumla' leaders, There is drama everywhere, everything is an event management, hate and religious intolerance is manufactured and sold as brands. Relevant everyday issues - jobs, lack of access to clean drinking water, poverty, shrinking space for dissent, pollution, crumbling infrastructure, backbreaking price rise, huge taxes and cess on everything, majority of citizens unable to afford healthcare, transportation woes etc.are all whitewashed and swept under the carpet simply to make one individual look good. Yes, India has been transformed over the last 11 years.....for the worse.
