Navelim MLA Luizinho Faleiro has finally resigned and is now reportedly all set to join the Trinamool.
Faleiro has claimed that the reason for taking such a decision is because the State is currently going through difficult times and it needs street fighters like Mamata.
Calling himself a Congressman despite of quitting the Congress party, Faleiro has also claimed that Goa needs a credible alternative and his quitting as MLA was a call for unification of the Congress family in the State.
But the big question is why did Faleiro wait for this long if he really had serious intentions of unifying all Congress supporting parties and defeating the divisive forces?
He could have started with that mission long back because one cannot expect miracles to happen and that too suddenly on the eve of the fast approaching upcoming assembly elections.
TMC currently does not even have one seat in the Goa assembly. Now, after joining the TMC very soon, how he's going to bring Congress supporting parties and all secular-minded Goans together on one single platform?
Faleiro has taken this decision not for the well-being of Goans but for his own self interest. Hope he does not end up digging his own political grave after joining the Trinamool and help the BJP to make a comeback for a third consecutive time
