With the incessant rain lashing Goa, citizens realised how unprepared Panaji city was. Commuters wading through flooded water made matters worse. The flooding problem of Panaji is a serious issue every monsoon. Moreover the roads are also potholed. Panaji sinks in every monsoon, being designated a 'smart city'. The shabby and unsafe conditions greet commuters, motorists and tourists alike as they enter the capital city. Despite the many floods and cyclones that Goa has witnessed in the past three years, lessons have not been learnt. The people of Goa will find it extremely difficult to negotiate normal life. If it continues like this then commuters have to use makeshift boats for daily commuting.
