Manipur has seen total failure of administration

What is happening in Manipur is really worrying where thousands are displaced and hundreds dead or injured. If the situation was handled immediately and tactfully such huge loss of life and property and atrocities on women would have been avoided. The government machinery had been in deep slumber and woke up only when the disturbing video went viral and the apex court headed by DY Chandrachud, Chief Justice of Supreme Court intervened. My head hangs in shame to see naked women being paraded in Manipur. PM Narendra Modi should have visited Manipur to calm the situation but he chose to remain silent and took little action when it was very clear that the CM was favouring a particular community.  Had this happened in Uttar Pradesh or Gujarat the Central government would have swiftly acted, but Manipur is a small state, far away from Delhi. I hope and pray that this type of violence  does not spread to all the seven sister states of Northeast and other parts of the country when government machinery delays crackdown on culprits.
