Provide relief to pedestrians from waterlogged roads

During the rainy season, waterlogging has been noticed atdifferent locations in the state. In Ponda too there are waterlogging spots.Ultimately it is the pedestrians who tend to remain the ultimate sufferers ofthe waterlogged roads. One peculiar instance has been noticed near the premisesof Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) at Tisk with vehicles proceeding in oppositedirections on regular basis. With stagnated rainwater along the roadside, thereis hardly any space available for the smooth movement of pedestrians. Theirlives seem to be at great risk. Some vehicles proceed at a fast speed throughthe stagnated water. Dirty water gets splashed over the pedestrians who remainto be the ultimate sufferers. The concerned authorities should take note of theabove important matter and clear the stagnated rainwater from time to time withsuitable water pumps so that pedestrians are not inconvenienced. Let us hopethat immediate favourable action would follow in this important matter inpublic interest.
