Regular fliers feel diffident to fly after 787 crash

In the aftermath of the  recent deadly crash of Air India's 787 Dreamliner and in the past 72 hours, a fear psychosis has apparently  gripped the pilots of Air India and a few other airlines, after their pilots returned to their bases after a few flying hours, fearing technical snags.  While Air India flight from Hongkong to Delhi returned to its base, after a few hours,  Air India's flight from Delhi to Ranchi also returned after a suspected technical snag. Lufthansa airlines  to  Hyderabad also had a similar experience. It is sad that even regular travellers by plane feel shaken up and diffident to board an aircraft after the devastating crash in Ahmedabad that killed 241 passengers. It is not at all surprising after reports have pointed out to negligence on the part of Air India to attend to the  several flaws  in the Dreamliner aircraft by  a few pilots. All this does not bode well for Air India -- a sad climbdown  from Maharaja status it enjoyed for decades.
