It is sad but true that trees are cut for road widening and a 100-year-old banyan tree at Margao, Kadamba Bus stop was slaughtered overnight to hear the voice of Modi. We Goans are now burnt with Sunburn set to destroy the rich Goan culture and our youth. Another burning issue at hand is acquiring the lush and unique khazan fields, destroying the livelihood of our farmers and fisherman “ added to the culture and agriculture heritage. The farmers though not educated, are well educated in their profession. Do the officials including union highway, Minister Nitin Gadkari know why Delhi and Goa require the new Borim - high level bridge? It is for Adani and his coal. It is a shame that the present Goa government under Pramod Sawant has no ears to listen to the voices of the Goans. We need good roads for the whole of Goa, hospitals, colleges and schools.
