Congratulations to Goa’s Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, on completing six years in office. However, during his tenure, Sawant has focused more on weakening the Congress than on good governance. He has managed to lure Congress MLAs into his cabinet, and these MLAs, driven by greed for money and power, have betrayed the voters who trusted them and the party that gave them election tickets.
Politics today is full of dirty games, where ruling and opposition parties alike manipulate people for their own benefit. While the BJP praises Sawant for his work, are the people of Goa truly happy with his leadership? If he is such a good CM, why are people protesting on the streets for their rights? Parents are fighting for their children’s future, while crimes like rape, murder, drug trade, sex trafficking, accidents, and robberies are rising. The real estate mafia, corruption, and environmental destruction continue unchecked. Illegal constructions, job scams, and suppression of public voices have become common.
Under this government, the police are being used to silence citizens who speak out against its failures. People in Goa want peace, well-maintained roads, working streetlights, proper waste management, and job opportunities”not destruction in the name of development. We want Goa to remain as it is, not as the government wants to shape it.
It is high time the CM and the central government reshuffle the cabinet before things spiral out of control. Many ministers and MLAs are corrupt, prioritising personal gain over public welfare. Elected representatives are meant to serve the people, but today, they treat the public as their servants. Why is the BJP government ignoring the people’s voice? Why is it going against the will of Goans? It’s time to reflect and make the right choice in the next election”time to vote out this arrogant government.
