During his Liberation Day speech, he announced the Kunbi Handloom Craft Village in Sanguem, a Rs 10 crore project aimed at reviving the cultural identity of Goa’s Kunbi community. This initiative empowers artisans with training, design, and sales facilities, preserving traditional weaving. Additionally, the proposal to establish an AYUSH City near Mopa will position Goa among eight such cities in India, promoting health tourism and alternative medicine. This sustainable project aims to make Mopa an economic hub. By preserving traditions and embracing innovation, Goa sets an example for holistic development, with Sawant leading the state towards a balanced, sustainable future.
