The BJP has been bulldozing the allegedly illegal houses of Muslims who rioted recently against the remarks of the BJP spokesperson against their religious leader. Now, there has been extensive rioting against the faulty Agnipath scheme. But where are the bulldozers? Why is the media silent? Why are the netizens silent? The country is simmering with low economy due to faulty administration and people desperately waiting for jobs. The unemployment today is the highest ever witnessed by India. But the situation had not yet reached a boiling point thanks to the BJP’s targeting the minorities which means more jobs for the majority and other diversionary tactics like 'acche din', temple rebuilding, etc. Yet the BJP displayed disastrous decision making with the Agnipath scheme. By contrast, 1947 saw a volatile and explosive atmosphere with the British still trying to hang on to their colony, the INC with Gandhi and Nehru weighed with the most complicated problem of securing Independence with no bloodshed. And the BJP has the gumption to fault the INC stalwarts when they are ‘creating’ riots from non-issues! See the rioting today with even trains being set ablaze.
