Dalit girl gang-rape: Why no rallies now?

The body of a 19-year-old Dalit girl who died after the brutal assault and gangrape in Uttar Pradesh was shockingly cremated in a hurry in the middle of the night by UP police allegedly to destroy all further evidence.

Unfortunately, our mainstream media did not bother to cover this heinous crime as there was not a single debate on any news channel nor any hashtag campaigns on her name. Was it because she was not a big celebrity?

Secondly, why the central BJP leaders have still not bothered to issue a single statement with regards to this unfortunate incident or have mobilised rallies on the lines of Nirbhaya rape incident which they staged just before the 2014 elections? Why our PM has not bothered to utter a single word at his recent "Maan Ki Baat" monthly address?

Looks like fooling the voters and  winning elections by hook or crook is more important for leaders of the current central government. The upcoming Bihar Assembly elections seem to be more important than protecting and giving justice to all such rape victims for these media-created so-called 'Great Leaders' of our country.
