A major scientific study has determined that several of the agricultural produce such as grains, vegetables and fruits in recent years are deficient in nutrients compared to the same produce a decade ago mainly due to constant use of farm lands and soil erosion as a consequence of flooding which results in the dissolution of the water soluble nutrients in the soil, thus resulting in the produce containing less quantities of major as well as micro nutrients as a consequence of global warming and thus excess precipitation caused due to excess evaporation. Fertilizers used only contain nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium, while many of the micro nutrients are not replenished in the soil. These deficient nutrients then lead to abnormal functioning of the various organs of the body as well as affect the secretions of juices in the endocrine and other glands in the body causing diseases. Under the circumstances, it would be prudent for vitamin and other supplements containing the major and micro minerals required for the normal functioning of the body to become a must for boosting the diet.
