A stray dog had given birth to four furry puppies near my house. It was shocking to find that in the darkness of the night someone had lifted the four puppies which were just 10 days old. The mother dog went berserk to find her puppies missing. She kept howling the entire day and refused to eat for more than two days. The mother is still roaming in the neighbourhood looking for her puppies. How cruel and heartless can human beings get to be.
Puppies which feed on the milk of the mother dog should not be separated from their mother under any circumstances. It is sad to note that even those who have pet dogs, in order to make a quick buck, sell puppies when they are still dependent on the milk of their mother. It must be said that puppies which do not get to feed on the mother’s milk develop into weak dogs falling sick very frequently.
Those who wish to sell the puppies need to wait till the puppies feed on solid food. Animals also have deep feelings towards their little ones. When a puppy is separated from its mother, only the mother of the puppies understands the emotional pain she has to undergo.
