I am happy to see resurgent energetic Indian football team much superior to the lack lustre teams of the past. I wouldn't agree more in thanking the ISL organizers who are very instrumental to start this ISL tournament that has finally brought a change in the quality of Indian football. There is no doubt that a lot more hard work is needed from the players to reach the peak to match international players.
India has the potential to be a great soccer nation having a vast pool of great talented sportsmen and the government of the day needs to spend more and get in the rich private entities to create football academies with foreign coaches, dietary requirements physical training and experienced medical staff etc.to produce quality players. It has been 70 plus years of independence and by now Indian soccer should have been in the level of world class teams but for the negligence of the past governments and the AIFF. I will not hesitate in calling the attention of the PM Narendra Modi to look into the matter.
