The Central and the State governments must ensure that infrastructure projects are executed after enough environmental impact assessments due to the fragile soft soil. One must remember that the Himalayan ecosystem is the most fragile ecosystem in the world, hence, it should be handled with care.

Geologically, most of the Himalayas are wobbly. The government needs to limit tourism infrastructural projects in Uttarakhand after the tunnel caved in Uttarakhand, which is also known as a biological wealth and asset.

The Char Dham Pariyojna, the highway linking the main shrines of Uttarakhand, is definitely an important project as the state receives a large number of pilgrims. But all environmental concerns need to be addressed before implementing the projects in toto. If lessons are still not learnt, we can expect more Silkyaras.
