Certain family members are conscious about their elderly members' presence in their homes only on days like "Father/Mother's Day", just for the purpose of clicking selfies and getting it uploaded on social media. This has only thrown up a host of questions pertaining to the fake attention being delivered to them. However, the contrasting sad picture is that they are abandoned in their rooms with no care or emotional/financial assistance provided to them. The elders' commitment to their family was evident in the past years, wherein they had invested their time /love/care and hard earned money in the upbringing of their children. Nevertheless, now it's their fruitful time to reap benefits, but unfortunately, injustice is done to them. The beauty and charm of the family can be regained by spending sufficient quality time with the senior family members at home. Through one's genuine love it can be aimed at nurturing a sense of acceptance and care towards them. With much dedication in fostering a sustainable future for the senior citizens, the authorities along with the Senior Citizen Federation ought to come out with stringent preventive measures upholding the ideals of our society.
